Prior to joining NML in October 2019, held the position of Consulting Chief Technology Officer, managing both commercial and technical aspects of services provided to MNOs in Africa. These included network configuration, activities, the most significant being advanced deep-RAN-sharing between Vodacom and Telkom SA to enable national roaming in South Africa. Amongst other projects, Clarke consulted on a MOCN (multi-operator Core Network) RAN configuration for the implementation of 2G/3G/LTE network layers. Previously, Clarke assisted Go-Be, a telecoms start-up, to secure ECS/ECNS licenses and regulatory type approvals for the Gigabit-speed wireless technology. Clarke also provided guidance on network design for a POC (proof-of-concept) trial.
